Kristen
A seasoned barber with more than two decades under her belt, commands respect at The Shave Cave. Her artistic journey traces back to her childhood, where she found solace and expression through abstract watercolors—a passion that still burns within her today. While she's no stranger to the local art scene, it's the surrealist works of the Dali Museum that truly captivate her.
Starting out in her mother's salon in Maryland, Kristen honed her skills with a meticulous eye for detail and an innate knack for creativity. She delved deep into the world of hairstyling, mastering trends and techniques, particularly in shear and executive cuts. Always ahead of the curve, Kristen takes pride in delivering cuts that leave her clients not just satisfied, but downright impressed.
Tanner
Tanner's journey into the world of barbering kicked off in his Texas hometown, where his natural talent for cutting hair began while cutting the hair of friends and siblings. From an early age, Tanner's fascination with midcentury style, traditional tattoos, and vintage cars (really anything vintage) ignited his creative spark, leading him to cultivate a distinctive aesthetic that blends the classic with the contemporary.
Growing up in a competitive household, Tanner thrived on challenges, dominating in various competitions ranging from barbering to skateboarding and skimboarding. His hunger for victory and relentless drive set him apart from the pack.
Beyond the confines of the shop, Tanner can often be found immersing himself in his passions at local hotspots like St. Pete Skatepark or St. Pete Beach, where he finds solace and draws inspiration for his next artistic masterpiece.
Shawn
A bona fide local legend hailing straight from Clearwater, Florida. His initiation into the world of barbering began at the ripe age of 12, wielding clippers like a pro in his parents' garage and at friends' hangouts. But for Shawn, barbering isn't just a job—it's a burning passion that's kept him on the straight and narrow, steering clear of trouble.
A true embodiment of the Sunshine State spirit, Shawn thrives on an active lifestyle and a plethora of hobbies. When he's not expertly barbering, you'll catch him elbow-deep in home renovations, tearing up the field in heart-pounding airsoft showdowns, or unleashing his inner artist through bold strokes on canvas.
But Shawn's commitment to his community doesn't end there. He generously gives back by offering his barbering skills to kids from his high school alma mater. Shawn is also learning how to become a tattoo artist, showing there's no limit to his creative skills
Britt
Britt is a barber whose journey to mastering her craft was forged in the fires of the US Marine Corps. Graduating from the Associated Barber College in San Diego in 2016, she brought the same ironclad discipline and dedication to her work behind the chair.
But Britt's passion for barbering extends far beyond skill and technique—it's about nurturing and uplifting others. For her, there's no greater satisfaction than seeing the transformation a fresh haircut can bring, lifting spirits and instilling confidence in her clients. As she puts it, "When you look good, you feel good."
Off-duty, Britt's heart belongs to her family. Meeting her wife and starting a family marked a turning point in her life, and she attributes her success to their two young children. Amidst the chaos of family life, Britt finds solace in her hobbies, whether it's getting lost in the pages of a Marvel comic or cruising the streets on her longboard in their neighborhood or local park.
And when the evening calls for a bit of relaxation, Britt and her wife can be found soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of breweries with live music, like Cage Brewing, or something with a fun challenge such as The Great Escape Room in St. Pete.
JJ
Meet JJ, a visionary barber whose heart beats to the rhythm of creativity. From coast to coast, JJ's journey began at the tender age of 13, carving his path through the intricate world of hairstyling. As a pioneer of the men's fashion scene on the iconic Fairfax Ave in LA, JJ's influence resonates far and wide.
For JJ, passion is synonymous with the raw freedom of expression. Whether it's through fashion, hair, or body art, he believes in the profound power of personal style to convey your essence. With JJ, it's not just about a haircut—it's about sculpting a visual identity that authentically reflects who you are.

Jess
Jess's journey into the world of barbering kicked off amidst the hustle and bustle of Jersey City, NJ. Battling through endless winters, she eventually felt the irresistible pull of the Florida heat, landing in the community of Clearwater.
Like many up-and-coming barbers, Jess cut her teeth by trimming the locks of friends back in Jersey. It wasn't long before her passion for barbering evolved into a full-blown career. Today, Jess is renowned for her versatility, mastering a wide array of styles. Yet, it's the classic combovers and slick fades that truly fuel her creative fire.
Outside of the barbershop, Jess cherishes quality time with her family, checking out all that the area has to offer. Whether it's dinner or drinks at Doc Ford's Rum Bar and Grille at the St. Pete Pier or unwinding with friends at The Wild Child Bistro on Central, Jess is all about quality time.
Lamar
Lamar's journey into the world of barbering began in 2009, following tours with the United States Armed Forces, serving as a US Army Combat Veteran. With precision cuts as his specialty, Lamar's dedication to his craft reflects his commitment to excellence and attention to detail. Above all, Lamar places his clients' needs and satisfaction at the forefront of his work, ensuring every haircut is a personalized experience tailored to perfection.
Beyond the barber's chair, Lamar is a true master of the grill, wielding his culinary skills with authority. Whether he's grilling up a feast for friends and family or showcasing his talent for cleaning fish, Lamar's culinary creations never fail to impress. When he's not manning the grill himself, Lamar entrusts his cravings to local favorites like Mullet’s Fish Camp or The Tavern at Bayboro, where he knows he'll find a satisfying meal.
Christopher
Christopher is Navy Veteran out of Dunedin. He grew up in his grandmother and aunts' salon, which ignited a creative passion at a very young age. This led him to becoming a third generation hairstylist and barber, professionally starting in 2010.
Specializing in catering to all hair textures, Christopher's expertise truly shines in his mastery of the Skin Fade. Whether it's crafting a timeless, conservative look or pushing the boundaries with something more daring or creative, Christopher executes each cut with precision. He really makes it look easy.
Outside of the shop, Christopher finds joy in the company of family, often exploring the diverse culinary landscape of Dunedin's eateries. But when he's not savoring delicious meals, Christopher channels his energy into another passion: martial arts. With a dedication to precision and discipline honed through his military background, Christopher approaches both his craft and his martial arts practice with unwavering commitment and determination.
Melody
Meet Melody, a transplant from North Carolina who traded the mountains for the sunshine of Florida to embrace her role as a devoted family woman. She cherishes every moment alongside her husband, a true St. Pete native, and as she describes Her Best Friend.
The two of them love taking road trips across the state, exploring the abundance of State Parks and Nature Reserves that Florida has to offer. They also love music and the local culture draws them to venues like Jannus Live, where they enjoy a variety of diverse concerts. And for a taste of homegrown talent, they frequent Ruby's Elixirs, reveling in performances by local artists that embody the soul of the region's musical heritage.
A graduate of the American Institute of Beauty right here in Florida, Melody is a skilled Full Specialist, well-versed in the art of skincare, manicuring, and pedicuring.
